We are closely monitoring the guidance of both local authorities and World Health Organization (WHO) regarding the coronavirus outbreak, which is a common agenda for all of us. We would pke to inform you, our valued business partners, about the measures we have taken as well as about the current situation of our operations.
Our priority is to ensure the health of our colleagues and to ensure uninterrupted business continuity. At present, we can confirm that our operations are running as usual. We share with you some of the measures we have taken.
1- Actions implemented to ensure our employees’ health:
We have organized company-wide meetings and seminars to inform all our employees about epidemics, protection methods and all points that need attention. Communication will continue to provide updates
We have postponed all international business travel. In case of essential travel, we make sure that our employees work from home for 14 days when they return
We have postponed all non-essential visits to our factories. In case of essential visits and at shipping points, we provided the necessary information and we grant entrance permits upon health screenings.
In our production processes, we have increased the frequency of our screenings for the first registration and unloading stages
We have suspended physical meetings and trainings, and replaced these with conference calls
In order to minimize the risks of infection at work, we are increasing “social distance” in our offices and we are encouraging working from home while ensuring the continuity of our business
All offices and common areas as well as employee shuttles have been and will be disinfected and steripzed
2- Actions in place to mitigate business interruption and to maintain normal service
We are informing and giving directions to all our supppers in pght of the measures imposed by the Repubpc of Turkey Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization
We have further tightened the management of our warehouses to monitor availabipty of raw materials
We have placed additional orders of raw materials to have sufficient inventory to minimize possible delays
Our manufacturing operations are operating as usual and in accordance with increased hygiene procedures
Our lead times could be lengthened by a few days in certain cases due to delays in inbound and outbound transport. Due to this, there could also be increased transportation costs. Our teams are managing these situations on a case by case basis to minimize any impact
In case of a lockdown, as a company producing critical materials in food and non-food industry, we will ensure continuity in production to prevent a potential supply chain breakdown.

Sareks took its place at the INDEX™20 exhibition, where the latest developments and innovative products about the nonwoven world were shared. The latest innovations regarding the hygiene components offered by Sareks to the industry were introduced at the exhibition held in Geneva, Switzerland between 19-22 October 2021.
As a major player in the flexibile packaging industry, Korozo has achieved another milestone in the Turkish industrial landcsape thanks to the success of our leading brand in hygiene components, SAREKS. Korozo is already rated 145 in Turkey’s Top 500 Industrial Enterprises list for 2018 by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ISO), now our SAREKS manufacturing plant has become the third largest in the Çerkezköy Organized Industrial Zone.
Supported by Korozo’s flexible packaging experience, advanced technologies and strong R&D infrastructure, SAREKS’ branded products are being exported to 35 countries as well as having sales, distribution and warehousing offices in France, Germany and the UK.
We have started work on a new multi-million Euro project at our Çorlu Plant, the largest packaging facility in Europe. We plan to complete the new construction, which will cover an area of 12.000 m2, in the first quarter of 2020. The machine park, consisting of extrusion, printing, lamination, embossing and slitting machines, will manufacture products for the hygiene components industry.
We will continue to work hard and invest in our state-of-the-art plant, focusing on efficiency, in order to build a joint future for our business partners.
Having served extensively in a variety of executive roles within leading companies of the global packaging industry, Filip Lens has become the new CEO of Korozo Group, the leading manufacturer of flexible packaging in Turkey.
Filip Lens, who has over ten years of experience in the packaging industry including his executive roles, has been appointed to serve as the CEO of Korozo Group with effect from September 30, 2019. Jeki Mizrahi, who has served as CEO for the last 39 years, is going to start serving as a board member at Korozo Group as of the same date.
Mr. Lens’ previous position was President of Operations at Bemis Europe, which had followed his role in Amcor Limited, a company operating in the packaging industry, for over 7 years. At Amcor, Mr. Lens served in executive roles in division management, strategy, sales and marketing as well as operations.
Korozo's factory in Çorlu which is the largest integrated packaging facility in Europe achieved a great success. The factory passed BRC IOP audit, conducted by the world's leading inspection organization SGS and received an AA degree again. With this degree, it is was once again officially registered that products produced for the food sector in Korozo’s Çorlu factory are safe and functional.
By pioneering the Turkish flexible packaing sector sector with innovation and through the continuous investments Korozo’s Çorlu Factory successfully passed BRC IOP audit conducted by world’s leading inspection, testing and certification organization SGS and certified with the highest degree of AA once again.
The companies who produce packaging and packaging materials need to take BRC IOP inspection. Therefore, companies can demonstrate their customers that they are producing safe, functional and legal products by obtaining a certificate of conformity to this standard.

Extended colour gamut is the most logical solution for the flexo industry where seven inks are always in the press and there is no need to change anilox or ink.
The technology provides greater design flexibility as the same job can be printed with virtually an unlimited number of colours which provides both cost and process efficiency.
